Something REMARKABLE happened on 24/6/2013 Monday

Hi everyone!! On Monday something AMAZING happened. I was at my swimming lessons as usual on normal Mondays, but the only difference was that I was by myself instead with the people in my group. Next thing he asked me when was my birthday? and I was like uhhhh 2nd of January. He was like really? really? Well thats my birthday too! OMG!! SAME BIRTHDAY! He said also Josh(my bro's swimming teacher) has the same birthday as me too! OMG!!(again) YAY! What a day of coincidence! WOW!

My 1 minute talk I did today 21/6/2013 Friday

Hello world or whoever is reading this, I did my 1 minute talk in front of my class and my science teacher. I know this post might not sound interesting to read but scary saying a talk in front of the class. I get stage fright which means I get scared when I have to talk in front of a group (small or large). I was the first girl to do my talk... uh oh..... Din din din..... I was the 5th person to my talk while the rest were boys that did the talk before me.  Ok, ok gotta calm down. I was up standing in front of the class and my science teacher. I started reading my talk.... I was reading fast(not too fast even my best friend, Xixi thought I was reading MEGA fast lol) because I want to be over and done with. When I finished my talk, I was like YAY! AHHH! Over with. PHEW! Want to know my talk well here it is....

                                                   MY TALK

Hi everyone, for my short talk I'm going to be talking about why most of the plants need sunlight. Plants do not like to grow underground because there is no light. Not like animals, plants don't get energy by eating food instead they get energy from sunlight. Plants also need sunlight to do the process of photosynthesis. Plants use light to turn carbon dioxide and water to glucose which is sugar that works like fuel. <-----This is the process of photosynthesis. There is one kind of species that doesn't need sunlight to grow. This plant is called Fungi. Fungi is a mushroom plant. Plants also need sunlight to grow green. Without enough sunlight but enough water, the plant can grow very tall but it looks dehydrated and yellow. This is why sunlight is important to plants.

My experience and recount at the Waihi Mine!!!! (Part 3) 11/6/2013 Tuesday

Now back on the bus! On the way back, Xixi started playing I spy with Raksha. When Raksha was guessing, I wanted to play and joined the game. So then I started guessing. Xixi did some tricky ones and easy ones.  I did a little tricky ones and some easy ones. After a while Raksha stopped playing. So Xixi and I started playing by our selves! It was fun! We played that game until we nearly got to school. I didn't even get car sick or motion sickness! All because I played that game, I spy. LOL! I was eating a lolly on the way. Going back to school felt shorter than going to the Waihi Mine. Going back felt like only 1 hr and going to Waihi Mine was a few minutes more than 2 hrs! Weird aye!? But true! Going back is shorter than going to wherever you are going. <---Btw(By the way) it needs to be a long ride. E.g. 1 hr drive. I didn't sleep on the way through! But I felt a little bit tired on the way back. Now we arrived back at school! YAY! When I left off the bus, I took my very last picture which was of the bus. When I walked to my whanau, I saw my mum! MUM! YAY! YOU'RE HERE! When I got in my whanau, my mum came and picked me up and I left school to go home! BACK HOME!

It was an amazzzzing experience! It was awesome and fun! I really enjoyed it! It was interesting and fascinating about all this mining stuff! This has been a fantastic experience! Wonder if I will go there again?

My experience and recount at the Waihi Mine!!!! (Part 2) 11/6/2013 Tuesday

We had lunch at a playground! FUN! We were only allowed there for 25 mins.

For 20 mins I ate my lunch and for the 5 mins, I had a little play on the playground. After that we are on the the bus again to the mine! Oooooo!!

Here we are arrived at the mine! Excited! A miner named Phil, came to us and greeted us. Next, he started talking about how the hole(mine) was created.It was a long time ago in the 18 century(1800). After that, he showed this thing that showed how loud the machines were! COOL! They used this thing because some public people compliant about the noises of the machines. The maximum of the machines was 50. He tested us how loud we were when we shouted gold. We were 113! WOW! LOUD! After that, we had to wear a vest and a helmet. We had a picture taken. Next, Sophia and Nikaylyn got chosen to talk on a news report(not real). It was a bit funny!  LOL! Then, we went inside this place to watch Phil's adventure underground. It was about him underground. After that, he gave the teachers something for us. When I looked at it, I thought it was gold but I recognized what it really was when I got back to school. After that we left on the bus againnnn!!

We left to go on our Windows walk which was about 45mins-1hr. When we went on the windows walk, we crossed 3 bridges on the way. 10 people maximum on the bridge. After that, we went through a dark,wet and muddy tunnels. When I walked in the tunnel, I was like OMG! Its so dark! Can't see! AHHHH! I couldn't see that much because my torch light wasn't bright enough. When through the tunnels, we saw glow worms shining on the ceiling of the tunnels! WOW! My first seeing glow worms! OMG! After that walk we went back on the bus back to school! I actually enjoyed the walk because I was talking to my friend and I was also talking to some of the teachers. Well back to school! Off I go back for a 2hrs drive! Good bye!
